The Mac Pro (2019) and iMac Pro pricing is pulled directly from Apple.com at the date of this post, but since the Mac Pro (2013) is no longer sold, we went with what OWC is currently selling a used unit for with the same specs. However, keep in mind that some of the configuration options for the Mac Pro we have may not do a ton for Premiere Pro. I am using Lightroom Classic CC release 8.1 (Build 1200465), Photoshop CC release 20.0.4, Illustrator CC release 23.0.4, and Premiere CC release 13.1.2 (build 9). My hardware is a MacBook Pro 15-inch 2017 with 2.8 Ghz i7 and 16gb of RAM if that helps. I'm still running the beta of Mac OS Catalina and only the adobe suite apps do not work.

It seems that there's something a little off with the latest release of Premiere Pro for users running on a MacBook Pro. After a user posted to the Adobe Forums that Premiere Pro seemed to have blown the speakers on his 2-month-old 2018 MacBook Pro, other users responded with similar reports.

Andripeetso claims that while working on a project in Premiere Pro with the volume set to about half, he suddenly heard a loud screeching noise, and when it stopped the speakers were very quiet. Upon restarting, he says they were clearly blown.

I Was working on a project, macbook volume was about on half, when suddenly an audio bug occurred with really loud screatching noise and not letting me pause it. After it stopped, the speakers were really quiet, and after the next restart they're clearly blown. Initially I blamed the hardware, though the same thing happened a day later with my Sony 1000X-M3 headphones, luckily the headphones are ok, but that did give me a heart attack.

The original discussion started back in November 2018, but since then others have come forward to say that they've experienced the same thing. Adobe Tech Support responded to one of the users suggesting that this was Apple's fault. Another user was advised to change the audio hardware mapping in Premiere Pro, by disabling the default audio input.

Neither Apple nor Adobe seems to want to take responsibility for this one, with each seemingly blaming the other. However, a piece of software should not be able to kill hardware in your computer so easily. Even if it is an Adobe bug that's caused the problem, why does the Apple operating system allow software to let such a thing happen?

One affected user told MacRumors that he was quoted a $600 repair bill by Apple to fix the issue. He says Apple claimed was so expensive because they need to replace the entire top case assembly – which includes the speakers, keyboard, trackpad and battery. I don't know about you, but that seems excessive to me. I'm sure Louis Rossmann would agree, too.

Regardless of whether or not Adobe caused the issues, why is Apple's hardware not protected against things like this? For what a MacBook Pro costs (and then costs to repair), you'd expect it to have such basic hardware protection features built in. The dynamic speaker has been around since 1925, so it's not exactly new technology. And it certainly shouldn't cost $600 to replace.

Given how long this 'undocumented feature' appears to have been going on, multiple versions of Premiere Pro may be affected. For now, it seems that changing your default input may prevent the issue from popping up and save you a repair bill.

In some instances, when launching Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder on mac OS, the application crashes.

Application crashes during launch without any error message on the splash screen.

In some instances, after you update Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder to the latest version 12.1 and try to launch, the application crashes. Splash screen appears and then disappears without any error message.

Adobe recommends you to try the Option 1 to resolve your crash issue. If the issue persists, try using other options listed in this page.

Do not delete the folders. Ensure that you have taken the backup first before deleting any folder.

Update to the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro 12.1.1 or Adobe Media Encoder 12.1.1 from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Updating provides a fix for launch issues caused by unsupported Type 1 Font.

Adobe Premiere Pro Not Working

In the Creative Cloud desktop app, click Updates from the Apps tab. To install the latest versions of apps on your computer, click Update All or Update. Preferences and settings are migrated over to the new version, and the previous versions of the apps are uninstalled.

  1. Install the latest version of Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder. Adobe photoshop viewer free download.

  3. Type '~/Library' in the pop-up dialog and click GO. This step takes you to '[User] Library'.

  4. For Premiere Pro, go to Caches/Adobe/Premiere Pro/12.0

    For Adobe Media Encoder, go to Caches/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/12.0.

  5. Delete the Typesupport folders for Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder.

  1. Uninstall any of the existing 12.x versions (12.0, 12.0.1, or 12.1) in your computer. Can you run it mac.

  2. For Adobe Media Encoder:

    Using Finder app, Go > Go To Folder, go to '~/Documents'.

    Create a backup folder and move this folder into it: /Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/12.0

    Using Finder app, Go > Go To Folder, go to '~/Library'.

    Create a backup folder and move the following list of folders into it:

    Caches/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/12.0
    Preference/com.Adobe.Adobe Media Encoder.12.0.plist
    Saved Application State/com.adobe.ame.application.cc12.savedstate

    For Premiere Pro:

    Using Finder app, Go > Go To Folder, go to '~/Documents'.

    Create a backup folder and move this folder into it: Adobe/Premiere Pro/12.0

    Using Finder app, Go > Go To Folder, go to '~/Library'.

    Create a backup folder and move the following list of folders into it:

    Caches/Adobe/Premiere Pro/12.0
    Preference/com.Adobe.PremierePro.CC12.plist
    Saved Application State/com.Adobe.PremierePro.CC12.savedState

Clean install Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Cloud Apps. Use the below mentioned link for the Adobe Cleaner tool to use for clean installation.

Create a user account on mac OS and use the new user account profile for the Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 (12.1) or Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018 (12.1) application.
